The Client Services Associate is responsible for scheduling appointments, registering patients, and all other duties involving front desk operations.
JOB DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Processes claims within assigned responsibility in a timely and efficient manner, performing all associated duties in order to ensure completeness and correctness of all patient documentation, facilitating maximum client/ company satisfaction.
Handles phone, mail, and personal inquiries from and regarding patient/company accounts:
Maintains all documentation and records in accordance with federal and state regulations.
Collects proper insurance information and forms from patients and performs accurate and timely verification of third-party payer and worker's compensation.
Obtains referrals and authorizations if required.
Communication and/or updating of correct patient information to appropriate staff(s), department(s), and computer system(s).
Prompt courteous reception and guidance to patients with inquiries.
Resolves or assists with complaints, misunderstandings, and inquiries related to results, pending medical record forms, turnaround times, wait times etc.
Ongoing application and knowledge of all company requirements and/or regulations.
Knowledge of complying with Federal and State law and private payer health care program requirements as well as the hospital's ethical and business policies.
PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:
Sitting up to 7 hours/day; 1-2 hours consecutively.
Walking up to 4 hours/day, 30 minutes at a time.
Frequently uses fingers and hands for typing, data entry, etc.
Frequently lift and carry objects up to 10 lbs.
Occasionally stoops, bends and reaches above shoulder level.
Must be able to hear as it relates to normal conversation.
Must be able to see as it relates to general, near, far, color, peripheral and depth perception.
Needs to be able to use eyes to focus on the same object throughout the day.
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma / GED required.
TRAINING AND
Experience:
Previous experience with third party billing in a healthcare facility preferred.
Previous experience in an office/administrative environment required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
