The Opportunity
CW's EPD Division is searching for an individual to fill the position of Mechanical Engineer for our Product Engineering Group, based in Phillipsburg, NJ. EPD, the Engineered Pump Division, and its legacy companies have been providing technology and products for naval and maritime application since 1847. Today, EPD is a major supplier of pumps for the U.S. Navy's Nimitz Class aircraft carriers and Virginia Class submarines, as well as the Navy's next generations of Ford Class aircraft carriers. EPD also supports the naval fleet with various innovative pumping solutions such as composite pumps and parts, and complete overhaul, upgrade and field service capabilities. It is an exciting time at EPD as come January 2015 we will be opening our new facility in Bethlehem, PA.
Essential Responsibilities
Performavarietyofspecificengineering tasksinvolvinganalysis,designandtest to meet critical deadlines.
Participateonmultidisciplinary projectteamsas required.
Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics & customer, Military and Industry Specifications.
Implement Bills of Material, manufacturing and test procedures, resolve non-conformances andprovidetechnical direction and information to other departments.
Extensive interaction with both internal and external customers
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelors in Engineering
US Citizen
Desired Characteristics
Customer focus and dedication towards meeting expectations and requirements of internal and external customers
Computer skills including Microsoft Office, AutoCad and SolidWorks
Knowledge of Industry and Military specifications a plus
